Day 3 of the 5 Day Prayer Challenge

Have you ever heard of “Godly Chemistry?”

See, I use to HATE the word “chemistry,” because most people used it out of context -- in regards to the person making them “feel” a certain way when they met.

Or, better yet, they will say they “don’t have chemistry” if the person they are dating does not like the same type of music, movies, or hobbies.

Truth is, NONE of that stuff matters for the success of a marriage.

But, there is one thing that does matter….

...and that is your purposes having chemistry!

One of the greatest God-ordained purposes of marriage is to help your future spouse walk in the fullness of their destiny and purpose in the Earth.

In order to do that, three things HAVE TO HAPPEN:

1) Your future spouse must KNOW their purpose and WALK in it.

2) You must KNOW your purpose and WALK in it.

3) Your purposes must ALIGN and help one another accomplish and go further in them.

It is pointless to get into a relationship with someone who does not know who they are.

This is the type of person that finds their identity in fleeting things (career, money, relationships, looks, etc.) all which change, meaning they will constantly be in fluctuation and identity crisis.

Your future spouse must know their purpose and walk in it in order for you both to have “Godly Chemistry!”

Prayer Scripture: Amos 3:3 says “Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?”

Pay this powerful prayer for your future spouse to know their Godly purpose:

Father, I thank you for my future spouse.

I pray in the name of Jesus that you would give them the grace to find their purpose in You and You alone.

Tear up and destroy every identity within them that is not built on You.

Lord, your Word says many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

Father, I ask that Your purpose for their life would prevail in all ways and in all things.

May your purpose be exalted above their plans, and guide them into truth not destruction.

Don’t allow them to find their identity through the words of men and women, but let Your words and Your truth to be written on their heart as their identity.

Build in them an unshakeable identity and purpose in and through You and You alone.

In Jesus name, Amen.
